Who we are
This Privacy Policy is issued by Happy Goat Web Design ("we", "us", "our") for the website happygoatwebdesign.com.au and the tools we operate to deliver our services.
How to contact us about privacy
Questions about privacy can be sent to [email protected] or through the contact form on this website.
1. What we collect
We collect the information you give us directly, such as your name, business name, email address, phone number and the details of your enquiry or project. When we manage online accounts for our business or our clients, such as YouTube channels, we hold the account identifiers and content needed to do that work.
2. How we collect it
We collect information when you complete a form on this website, email or call us, or engage us for a project. We do not buy personal information from third parties.
3. Why we use and share your information
We use your information to respond to enquiries, deliver and support the services you engage us for, send project-related communications and meet our legal obligations. We do not sell your personal information.
4. Disclosure of your information
We disclose information only to service providers that help us run our business and deliver our services (for example hosting, email and cloud platforms), and where required by law.
5. Google API Services (YouTube and Business Profile)
Our internal tools use Google API Services: the YouTube API Services, to upload and manage videos, playlists and channel details on YouTube channels that we own or manage for our clients, and the Google Business Profile APIs, to publish posts, keep business information up to date, and read reviews and performance information for Business Profiles that we own or manage for our clients. By using the YouTube features you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service (https://www.youtube.com/t/terms). The Google Privacy Policy (https://policies.google.com/privacy) describes how Google handles data. We access and store only what this work needs: channel and Business Profile location identifiers, the videos, posts and business information we create or manage, related metadata, and access tokens, which are stored securely on our servers and are never sold or shared. Our use of information received from Google APIs complies with the Google API Services User Data Policy (https://developers.google.com/terms/api-services-user-data-policy), including the Limited Use requirements. You can revoke our access at any time through your Google security settings (https://security.google.com/settings/security/permissions). To have stored data deleted, email [email protected] and we will delete it within 30 days.
6. Storage, security and retention
We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access. Information is stored with reputable providers, and we keep it only for as long as it is needed for the purposes above or as required by law, then delete or de-identify it. We use Google Analytics on this website to understand how visitors find and use it, for example which pages are viewed and whether a call or an enquiry follows. Google Analytics uses cookies and similar identifiers to collect this information (such as pages visited, approximate location and device type), and Google processes it on our behalf. We do not use it to identify you personally. To learn how Google uses information from sites that use its services, see https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. You can opt out by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on (https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout) or by blocking cookies in your browser settings.
7. Complaints
If you have a privacy concern, contact us at [email protected] and we will respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au).
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The updated version applies from the date it is posted on this website.
